James Calvin Childers

James Calvin Childers, 53, of Mart, Texas, passed away on December 26, 2024. Born on September 15, 1971, James was the beloved son of Patricia Dugay.

On November 29, 1993, James married Barbara A. Angelo, and together they built a family filled with love and cherished memories. James had a passion for simple pleasures that connected him to nature and his surroundings. He enjoyed magnet fishing and creek walking, often finding peace in these activities. Music was another source of joy for James, but above all else, he treasured the moments spent with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Dugay; his sister Susan; and his brother Shane, niece Keeley and great-niece Kelsey. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 30 years, Barbara Childers; his children Cynamon , Christopher, and Terri, and sons-in-law Kevin, and Josh ; his grandchildren Tyler, Charles, Pete, Isabella, and Luke; and his siblings Wendi, Billy, Johnny, Randall, Tanna, and Cindy.

James will be cremated and brought home to remain close to the family he adored. A celebration of life will be held at his daughter’s house on January 25, 2024.

James Calvin Childers will be remembered for the love he shared with those closest to him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
