James Allen Pankonien

James Allen Pankonien, 85, of Waco passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. John's Cemetery in Otto, TX. He was born on July 19, 1939 in Otto, TX to Edward Henry and Ella Hausler Pankonien. In his early years he helped on the farm with his family and attended school in Otto and Mart. Later years, he began working on road construction work and would continue throughout his working years. He loved to dance and riding his 4-wheeler. James was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bertha Broyles; brothers, Edwin, Alfred, Bennie, Louie, John Ed and Robert Lee Pankonien. Surviviors include brother, RD Pankonien; sisters, Ida Luedke, Ella Mae Neumann, Helen Guinn and husband Willie; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank Golden Years in Marlin, Greenview Manor in Waco, and Alamo Hospice for all their care and support.
