Mary Lee Nichols Adler passed away on November 6, 2024 in Arlington, Texas.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 in the Littlepage Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, November 9, 2024 in the Littlepage Funeral Home Chapel.
Mary was born on November 7, 1939 in Mart, Texas to Alvin Oscar Schreiber and Martha Emma Melcher Schreider. She attended Mart High School before moving to Dallas, Texas where she worked as an LPN for a Doctor’s Office and later at St. Paul Medical Hospital.
Later Mary meet Rhea Nichols and they were married on May 22, 1965. During that time she not only was a mom and housewife, but she worked at Park Plaza Nursing Home in Mart, started the in Mart EMS before working in Waco as a massage therapist, EMT, paramedic, teacher and a certified repeller with the Waco Fire Department. Life would take her to Trinity and Eldorado, Texas before moving back to Mart.
Mary was a member of the First Methodist Church of Mart and worked in Waco for an Ear, Nose and Throat office.
Her husband Rhea passed away on December of 2001 and she would later meet Glendell August Adler and they would join in marriage on August 3, 2002.
Mary loved sewing quilts, clothes and raising many puppies and kittens from a bottle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin & Martha Schreiber; husbands, Leon Levoy Fox and Rhea Nichols; son, David Rhea Nichols; and brother, George Marvin Scheiber.
Survivors include her husband, Glendell Adler; children, Vickie Lynn Church & husband Scott, Annette Cinquemani Falbo, Terry Wayne Nichols & wife Monica, Lisa Lee Bennett & husband Bubba, Terry Graham & wife Linda, Gloria Graham, Tracy Adler & wife Heather, Robyn Lee & husband Mike, Kendell Adler, Kelli Beasley & husband Phil; grandchildren, Ashley Lazar & husband Mike, Allix Minor & husband Zaq, Kayla Walker & husband Drew, Kari Nichols, Jess Bennett & fiancé Rusty Scott, Amy Graham, Heather Mullins, Justin Graham, Heston Adler, Hollis Adler, Chase Bennett, Hunter Odle, Bryston Bannister, Pacey Beasley and Creed Beasley; 16 great grandchildren; and a nephew, Phil Schreiber & wife Patti.
The family would like to express their sincere Thank You to Abundant Hospice and Community Hospice in Arlington for the wonderful care and attention Mary received while in their care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a local Animal Shelter.
