Melvin Henry Lohman

Melvin Henry Lohman passed away December 3rd,  2023 at his daughter’s home in Mart, TX. A visitation will be held at 11am, immediately followed by the service at 12pm. Both will be held at Littlepage Funeral Home in Mart TX, with Pastor Robby Kirby officiating. No graveside service will be held, as he will be buried in Blanco, TX.

Melvin was born on October 10th, 1939 in Bishop, TX; to parents Owen and Dessie Lohman. He grew up in a large family with eight siblings. Mel attended school in Austin, TX where he developed cherished friendships that lasted a lifetime. It was also here that he married Rosemary Parmley and started his family. Mel worked as a mechanic and retired from Capital Chevrolet after more than 40 years of service. After retirement, Mel spent his time with family and friends and enjoyed restoring old cars.

Melvin Lohman was called home by his Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Owen and Dessie Lohman, and four siblings Dellaine, Angie, Wilburn, and Myrtice

He is survived by:

Children: Cindy Schilling and husband John, Carl Lohman and wife Karen

Grandchildren: Lena Dominguez and husband Eory, Jamie Amos and husband Aaron, Dylan Lohman and wife Maasi

Great grandchildren: Nathan, Samuel, Mila, Waylon, Harper, Sofi, Sean

Siblings: Owen Edward, Dessie, Bessie, Frances and many other loved ones
