Robert William Franklin

Robert William Franklin, 76, passed away April 13, 2024.

Robert’s grand and great-grandchildren meant the world to their Pawpaw. They could do
no wrong. Two thumbs up Paisley. Of course he loved his children too, but they continue to
be a work in progress.
Robert was very active in the VFW post in Mart until its closure. He missed his daily coffee
and story time with his cronies. Robert served in the U.S Army from July 1968 to May 1971.
For his service he was awarded The Purple Heart, Bronze Star NDSM, Arcom, SPS M-14,
CIB, VCM and, 1 OS Bar. It’s time to rest now soldier, your time is through.
Robert is predeceased by his parents and brothers Howard William (Duke) Franklin and
James Edward Franklin, sisters Willie Mae (Sissy) Franklin and Martha Jean Franklin Evans,
and daughter Dollie Wilson.
Robert is survived by his wife Faye Baty Franklin and children, George Franklin and wife
Angela, Robbie Franklin and wife Adrian. Grandchildren James Franklin, Selina Franklin,
Candece and Gabe Waples, Kassidi Franklin, Amber and Andrew French, Karli Franklin
and, Macie Franklin. Great-Grandchildren Kyson, Jeremiah, Paisley, and Kehlani. As well as
sister Mabel Genita Franklin and brother, Billy Joe Franklin.
Family and friends are invited to join us at Robert’s home May 11th to share memories,
whether they be truth, lies, or just Robertism.
